Since our inception, Independent has been working alongside Brisbane boat dealerships – gaining extensive practical knowledge in the modification and repair of aluminium boats.
We can also help you get out on the water – we repair damaged hulls; fit bow mount electrical motor brackets; install steps, rails, bait boards, live bait tanks and casting platforms. We can complete your fitout with new carpeted plywood flooring. Check out our marine projects here.

TIG welding requires preparation, precision and care. With Independent’s 50 years combined experience, we’re proficient at welding materials requiring a high level of accuracy. We confidently work with all materials types including light to heavy gauge stainless steel, aluminium, mild steel, copper and brass. We can leave a neat weld as is, or clean, buff, passivate and polish to your desired finish.

We’re a small business, yet we’re big on manufacturing. To complete your project – we can MIG & TIG weld, bend, form, guillotine, roll and cut! Our workshop contains a 2.5 metre, 60 tonne press brake; a three metre guillotine, eight foot electric rollers; four foot pan brake; fly press, various MIG & TIG welders and a wide variety of hand and forming tools.
