About Us
As a Brisbane based custom metal fabrication workshop, Independent Metal Fabrication has been in operation since 2010. With a reputation for high quality workmanship, we pride ourselves on a personalised service and are well known locally for quality work, honesty, reliability and responsiveness.
Based just 7kms from the Brisbane CBD and behind the ‘Magic Mile’ on Ipswich Road, Moorooka, we’re ideally located near many of our suppliers and partners. We have proven relationships with other local businesses, so you can rely on Independent to manage your project from commencement to completion, on time and to budget. Our partners can take care of additional services for you, including powder coating, wet painting and galvanising. We also work in conjunction with manufacturers of other materials, such as timber and concrete, to help you achieve your desired result.
Independent is owned by Steven Shore, a qualified Coach and Motor Body Builder and Sheet Metal Worker. Steve has a passion for working with boats and specialises in aluminium boat modifications and repairs. He also has a particular interest in producing bespoke architectural pieces for both residential and commercial purposes.
Steve is a true craftsman and his dedication to producing quality products and service excellence is proven by his clients who keep coming back to Independent Metal Fabrication.
